View file protection replication sessions

Network-attached storage is a file-level storage architecture that makes stored data more accessible to networked devices.

About this task

See Understanding PowerMax File for storage systems for an overview of PowerMax File.

File replication allows the NAS server and the underlying file systems to be replicated with the same configuration as the source on the destination. Mimicking the configuration is done automatically as a part of destination auto-provisioning and the replication mode can be either synchronous or asynchronous.

Steps

  1. Select a storage system that supports PowerMax File.
  2. Select Data Protection > File Protection.
  3. Select REPLICATION > REPLICATION SESSIONS.

    The following properties display:

    • Name—Name of replication session
    • Source NAS Server—Name of source NAS server
    • Source System—ID of source system
    • Destination NAS Server—Name of destination NAS server
    • Destination System—ID of destination system
    • Mode—Mode
    • SRDF State—SRDF state
